Here are print screens of how I made my web gallery in Photoshop CS3.
I chose the horizontal slideshow.

It then opened on the internet. The photographs are quite small but you can see them. I then opened it in dreamweaver. I would like to delete the information on its style sheet for the text that says Adobe Web Photo Gallery and the other information underneath.

I had difficulty trying to get rid of the text box as was on every page with a photograph I had to find and replace. I had even more difficulty with getting rid of the grey box as the colour block had white small corners that I had problems spotting.

Im not yet sure if I will have their drawings on the same page as the photographs.
I have decided that I am going to have the drawings on the page I think it adds to the scrap book idea and they are the memories of the Guides memories of this November camp where the photograph was taken.

My final chosen photographs for the web portfolio. Placed on a page in Photoshop so it looks more like a scrap book. I grouped the photographs in to different categories like Promises, badge work, camp, and BP etc.

This is my chosen order going from left to right. The text next to the photographs go with the photographs they are not in order of the questionnaire. So I have the Promise text with the promises etc.

Here is the Guiding UK publications guidelines that I used to help me design my website for 'I Promise'. It shows the colours that they use and the fonts they use. This was useful when I was designing my web gallery for 'I Promise' as I want to look like Guides website.

Here is a printscreen of the Girlguiding Uk website. I have tried to create a similar website as goes with the photographs I have taken for 'I Promise'.

The logo on the top is the logo I designed in Photoshop for my portfolio I wanted it to look similar to the Girlguiding UK logo which is on the bottom.

I am going to use my old name tag that I am going to use for the logo for my name on the 'I Promise' website. I found a photoshop brush on the internet that I went around the tag to make it look like it had been sewn on I am now going to use this logo.

I scanned in my old g-card and in photoshop cloned out and changed the information to my contact details.

I also scanned in my BP award certificate and in Photoshop I made the certificate bigger and made the text box bigger to write in the information about the project which I will put on my home page.

In my gallery I would like to have the text next to the photographs. In photoshop I cut and pasted on to a page and moved the text around to fit on the page. I also grouped the photographs and put the same subjects on to the same pages I want my gallery to have the look of a scrap book.

22nd of February  is World Thinking Day on Monday the Guides celebrated Lord Baden Powell and Lady Olave Baden Powell's Birthday by thinking about other guides in the World. On Monday the Guides made bracelets, sculptures, filtered water, writing about peer pressure, and making huts to raise and put £2.50 in for WAGGS.
I wasn't very successful this day with my photographs I didn't get as many good shots.

Here is my contact sheet for the photographs I took on World Thinking Day.
I haven't been influenced by other photographers in this project only my and my families memories and girl guiding resources and memorabilia that I have shown through out my blog.

I would like my portfolio design to look like a scrapbook of photographs that I have taken, with the girls answers to the questionnaire and drawings of their memories. Here are drawings from my memories and my text. I would like it to be in a scrapbook, I was thinking if possible that I would be able to put my photographs and text in a scrapbook and scan in to be put on my website.

Here is my new design for my contact page, I am now going to have a link to my blog on the g-card and the image I drawn of Freda which I will write a thank you message with.

Here are my design layouts done in Photoshop for my portfolio for 'I Promise'. I downloaded a pdf file about the Guiding UK publication guidelines as I wanted the portfolio to be based on Guiding UK design. 'I Promise' logo will be written in the style of the guiding uk logo. I scanned in my childhood clothes name tag for the logo as I thought it fitted in as it is a badge. I have written the about information on a BP Guide certificate and my contact information on a g-card. I scanned in a guiding printed-paper for the background that I desaturated in Photoshop and lightened the opacity.

I have designed icons to click on to go to my different galleries. I downloaded Photoshop brushes of frames from the internet and the different fonts. These are the fonts I have chosen. I downloaded these backdrops I would like each webpage to have a different pale wallpapered background instead of just having a plain white background I don’t think it would be to distracting. I have scanned these images in from my workbook.

I created this gallery in Photoshop CS3 and bought it in to Dreamweaver where I changed the background.

I also created another web photo gallery in Photoshop but I preferred the other because it is easier to navigate.

From the lessons I have scanned in from my workbook the designs I did for Grunge design, Web 2.0 and Illustrator/Vector designs. I like the Photoshop brush I downloaded from the internet that’s why I have downloaded background images as they use less space than the brushes.

I would like to use the Guiding web layout I created but wouldn’t be able to use for my other galleries as it wouldn’t fit in but I would like to connect guide website to final website some how.

I have started to choose my final images. These contact sheets show what I have chosen so far. This will change, as I am not going to have this many photographs for my final. Next week I am going to work out how to present images with the text now that I have received all the text. I would like to present in a style like a scrapbook to show the photographs like memories of guiding. Personally I think this project has made me remember how much I loved Guides, and how much I learnt from it. I think these photographs show how much the Guides appreciate guiding today.

I will be shooting next on the 22nd of February as will be World Thinking Day.

Here are the answers to the questions that I asked the girls to answer for the text part of this project. The girls answered similar things to the questions. The text will go along side the photographs, I haven't quite worked this out yet which I will work out this week coming. I would like it to look like a scrapbook. I have bought a Guides scrapbook. I might put photographs and text in the scrapbook and scan in the scrapbook to be put on the website.

I have taken many photographs for this project since I started in November. I took on my Canon SLR 350D. Here are my contact sheets for all of my photographs I have taken so far. I had problems with my flash not going off sometimes and that the girls are apprehensive of the camera but I feel that I have shown guiding today and its importance.

Order of which was taken:

1. Bonfire Night

2. Camp and Remembrance Sunday

3. Beauty evening
